Remuera, a quiet suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, is the home of this contemporary, glass house – a modern beacon among its natural surroundings. This sleek design by Hillery Priest Architecture features expansive windows outlined by bold frames that punctuate their contemporary, geometric shape. A large outdoor deck area overlooks the pool. This modern architectural marvel boasts five bedrooms and five baths, spread out among spacious, open-concept interiors that, like the view from the exterior, bring focus primarily to the windows. But when not peering out into nature, the eye roams across tall angled ceilings, warm woods and rich details throughout.

Luxury Home Desigm

http://www.oneworldbuilders.com/images/gallery/g12.jpg

This is the Eagle. It is such a nice luxury house plan. It has a very appealing exterior. In fact, with all of the covered porch space, I'd be tempted to spend more time outside than I would inside. Of course, that's just an exaggeration. Inside you also have some very relaxing areas. For instance, the Eagle provides a spectacular living room, a quiet den, and a casual living room (all on the main floor). There is even a separate home office, a lounge, and a library downstairs. The Eagle also provides two areas for dining. There is a formal dining room, as well as a casual dining area. But don't assume that this home is only for proper, relaxing occasions -- check out some of the other options! There is also a kid's playroom upstairs, a rec room in the basement, as well as a bar -- good times all around!

Dellis Cay Villa - Luxury home

Dellis Cai Villa, designed by Shigeru Ban architect, located in the Caribbean.

luxury home design, Bungalow House style, interior design
luxury home design, Bungalow House style, interior designThe following information is from Dellis Cay:

Shigeru Ban has created two contrasting designs of Beach Villa for purchase: Maison H and Maison S, both of which come with their own over-water pavilion, Maison O.

Maison H is alluringly classic simplicity with its elements centered on expansive living and dining spaces. Fully retractable glass walls open out to a reflecting pond and swimming pool make beach villa appear to float on water.

Maison S is futuristic and organic, whose sinuous curves enfold a circular reflecting pond and flare outward towards an angular swimming pool and blue sea. “Both villas” as Shigeru Ban explains “are carefully designed to be sympathetic in their own right to the nature of the site, and both aim for the closest possible relationship between interior and the predominant presence of ocean.”

Fifteen villas will be located on 0.5 – 1.1 acre lots. Each villa includes its own over-water pavilion, which is a complete self-contained house in itself, and links to each main villa by private bridge.

Haus Gross in Greifensee, Switzerland, looks like a typical house by all accounts. But this modern and inventive design proves that looks can be deceiving. This understated, low-profile house holds a buried treasure in the form of an underground living space. The 721-sq.-ft. sub-grade home addition includes two sunken open-air courtyards leading into the three children’s bedrooms, a bathroom and a state-of-the-art home theater for private film screenings. A two-storey glazed façade lets light flood every corner, above ground and below.

Alan-Voo Family House

Alan-Voo Family House in Los Angeles by Californian practice Neil M. Denari Architects.

This is a Project Description from Neil M. Denari Architects :

The scheme leaves half of the house for the daughter’s bedrooms and incorporates the other half plus new extensions in front and back into a public zone and a private bedroom for the parents.

This strategy amounts to a new 16 ft wide linear house being inserted into the existing house. Multi-toned, bright colors accentuate the new pieces which suggests a graphic expression representative of the family’s interests.

House RR - luxury home

House RR, luxury home design, recident house design
House RR, luxury home design, recident house designThis roof measuring six metres high, with a surface of eighteen by eight metres, was built using a prefabricated timber structure with galvanized steel joints. In the two large facades of the house, generously open to the scenery, panels of glass fiber mosquito screens with PVC coating were installed, pivoting or sliding, with the intention of creating an external membrane, capable of keeping the insects out, without creating an obstacle for the ocean view and wind. Information from Ailtireacht Architects:
The existing two-storey return was at a scale not befitting such a large house with cramped internal dimensions making the spaces unusable. Traditionally, Victorian returns consist of a series of functional and subservient spaces to the mainhouse. The design exploits this premise, in the creation of a series of generously proportioned multifunctional spaces, accommodating the contemporary needs not afforded by a typical Victorian House, spaces envisaged for working, playing, bathing and sleeping. The functional materiality of the proposal is selected in response to the existing condition of unpainted render at the rear terrace and the subordinate functional spaces contained therein. A holiday home with three bedrooms, a social bathroom, a living room, a dinning room, a small kitchen with a support washbasin, pantry, and even a small outdoor swimming pool.
This road leads to the northern higher part of the lot. The roof functions simultaneously as pavement support for the gardens: similar to the traditional threshing floors and patios in the northern regions of the country with hilly terrain.

luxury home design, recident house design, interior design, exterior house design
The terrain’s instability together with modest economic resources gave rise to a house with triple function: the home itself and its interior space; the organization of outdoor leveled patios corresponding to the roofs of various levels which permit the outdoor use of the garden; and finally, the creation of a pedestrian link between the paths of the upper and lower levels that border this lot. The exterior stairs that create a link between the patios mirror the interior stairs that have the same function of linking the designed compartments that are also developed through levels. In this way, the exterior stairs correspond to the interior ceilings.

House “V” was designed in order to satisfy the needs of a family. The house is situated beneath Zagreb mountain Medvednica, on a relatively mild hill that stretches from south to east. The house is closed on the north side along the street and opens up into a large private garden thus creating a sense of intimacy for family life. The ground floor is intended for the common activities of the inhabitants, with a gradual staircase connecting the serene living area to private rooms on the first floor. Exits to the outdoor landscape are possible from the pool on the southern side, the porch area on the southeastern side, along the glass front of the living room and from the commercial part on northeast side. Pentimento House, penthouse design, luxury home design, interior designA garden and a client without fear. Built with a single piece of prefabricated concrete, which can be placed in four different ways (assembly) which solves structure, wall, furniture, ladders, even a garden facade that is the origin of the project. On the platform rises the prefabricated system. The pieces are inserted into steel rods anchored with epoxy glue to the platform. Inside, the same cracks help to support some wood pieces that become shelves, seating, tables and steps.

The house ignores possible finishes. The foundation slab melts with black pigment and hardener to become the finished floor final. The Flowerpots stays in its precast concrete finished as in its interior and exterior. On the top floor the lookout becomes the main space and robs its attention for any secondary element, allowing the passage of air and light, aligning the views of the distant mountains. Economy, simplicity and clarity. Working with the light, nature, temperate climate and available materials. Liberating austerity, allowing the enjoyment, the sensory and the connection with nature. Architecture Synthesis, which is held in a small number of its own laws. A single piece, a single constructive action of stacking the flowerpots. A flowerpots wall which converges the environment and the user. View Pentimento House detail [via] modern house design.
